The Art Department (TAD) was established in 1996 by artist Lisa Gaither. Since, TAD has been responsible for beautifying everything from found flea market objects to store entrances in shopping malls. Murals, paint finishes and installations are TAD’s specialties. Whether it be a starter home, condominium, estate home, or hotel, no surface is off limits to Lisa. Residential clients include homeowners throughout the state of North Carolina as well as homeowners in the Northeast region of the United States.
Local commercial credits include installations at Crossroads Ford (Cary), Duke University Medical Center (Durham), El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant (Raleigh), Holiday Inn (Fayetteville), Surgical Specialists of North Carolina (Raleigh), Truliant Federal Credit Union (Cary), University Mall (Chapel Hill). Lisa has also painted in numerous Parade Homes in Wake County. Lisa has recently illustrated her first children's book.
While walls are the most popular canvas for TAD, Lisa also paints / finishes furniture, floors, ceilings, etc. She also does traditional artwork (portraits, paintings, etc.) by commission.
Lisa meets with prospective clients to get a sense of their wants, needs and style. She customizes a look for each client, meets with them again to finalize with sketches and or sample boards and then begins the project. |
